SilkIPTV privacy policy
This page says exactly what SilkIPTV collects, why, who else sees it and how long we keep it. It describes what the site actually does — including the technical details recorded when you submit a form.
Who we are
SilkIPTV operates silkiptv4k.com and is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact.provideriptv@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +44 7882 735688. That single address receives every order, trial request and message — there is no second, hidden inbox.
What you give us directly
When you submit the subscription, free-trial or contact form we receive the fields you filled in:
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone or WhatsApp number, if you choose to give one — it is optional.
- The country or countries you selected.
- For an order: the duration, the number of connections, the app you use, your device, whether you want adult channels enabled, whether the line is new or a renewal, and — for a renewal only — the previous username.
- For the contact form: your subject line and message.
- Any optional notes you add.
Technical information we record with a submission
We do collect technical information when a form is submitted, and it is included in the notification email our team receives. It is used for fraud prevention, troubleshooting a line that will not play, security, and processing your order correctly. It is not used for advertising and it is not combined with data from other websites.
- IP address, read from the connection itself rather than from anything the page sends, together with the header it came from.
- Browser and version, operating system and device type, derived from the user-agent string your browser sends with every request, plus the raw user-agent string itself.
- Screen size, window size and pixel ratio, so we can reproduce a display problem.
- Browser language, language list and time zone, which help us reply in the right language at a sensible hour.
- The page you submitted from and the referring page, and the time of submission.
We do not use invasive fingerprinting. There is no canvas, font, audio or WebGL probing, no device-identifier generation, no hidden tracking pixel of our own and no attempt to recognise you across other websites. Everything listed above is either sent by your browser as part of a normal HTTP request or read from standard, non-identifying web APIs on the page you are looking at.
VPN and proxy detection
When a form is submitted we pass the IP address to a public network-classification lookup (ip-api.com) and compare it against the public Tor exit-node list published by the Tor Project. This tells us only whether the address belongs to a VPN, proxy, hosting network, mobile carrier or Tor exit node, along with a coarse city/country and the network operator.
This check exists to spot fraudulent orders. It is deliberately optional and fails soft: if either lookup is slow or unavailable, the notification simply records the check as unavailable and your submission is processed exactly as normal. We do not attempt to see through a VPN, to discover the address behind it, or to identify you personally. Using a VPN is not a problem and does not block an order.
Cookies and local storage
SilkIPTV sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. The site stores one value in your browser's local storage — your choice of light or dark theme — so the page does not flash the wrong colours next time. It contains no identifier, is never sent to our servers, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The live-chat widget described below sets its own cookies and storage entries so it can keep a conversation together across pages.
Third parties
- Tawk.to provides the live-chat widget. When it loads it receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit while the widget is present, and it stores its own identifiers so a chat can continue between pages. Anything you type into the chat is processed by Tawk.to on our behalf. See their privacy notice at tawk.to/privacy-policy.
- WhatsApp (Meta). The WhatsApp buttons are ordinary links to wa.me. Nothing is sent until you click one; from that point the conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
- Google (Gmail SMTP) carries our email. Form submissions and our replies pass through and are stored in Google's mail infrastructure.
- ip-api.com and the Tor Project exit list, for the network classification described above. Only the IP address is sent; no name, email or message content.
- Our hosting provider processes requests and keeps ordinary server logs.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the processors listed here.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- To take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform that contract — building, activating and supporting your line.
- Legitimate interests — preventing fraudulent and abusive orders, keeping the site secure, and diagnosing playback faults. The technical information above is collected on this basis, kept to what is necessary and not used to profile you.
- Legal obligation, where we must keep records or respond to a lawful request.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages and their technical details: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Free-trial requests: up to 12 months.
- Orders and subscription records: for the life of the subscription and up to 24 months afterwards, so a renewal can be matched to the right line.
- Server logs: typically 30 days.
- Copyright notices and the action taken on them: retained as long as necessary to handle repeat matters.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated on the server as well as in the browser, rate-limited per address, size-limited, and protected by a hidden anti-spam field. Mail credentials live only in server environment variables — never in the code, and never in anything sent to your browser.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. Write to contact.provideriptv@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Adult channels are disabled by default on every line and are only enabled when an account holder asks for them.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or why, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes are noted here rather than made quietly.
